What Changes the Cost

Severity of symptoms. Stronger muscles and more intense grinding usually need more units.
Number of areas treated. Some patients need only the masseters; others benefit from the temples and forehead too.
How you respond. Dose can be adjusted at later visits based on your results.
How long you have been treated. With regular treatment over a year or two, muscles weaken from reduced use, and many patients move from three or four visits a year to one or two. Your yearly cost often falls over time.

Cost Over the Year

Each treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes and lasts two to six months. Early on, plan for a visit every few months. Once your muscles have adjusted, maintenance is often only once or twice a year.

Treating grinding also protects your teeth and gums from wear, which can save you from costly restorative work later.
